What is ‘Dynamic Tip Plasty’?

As the word itself applies, meaning opposite from ‘static’, rather than applying implants all the way to the end of the nasal tip or fixing and maintaining the nasal tip by strong struts(ex.costal cartilage, artificial bone, etc.) merely to meet the aesthetic standards, Dynamic Tip Plasty focuses on creating the utmost natural and unfixed shape of a nose by dynamically transforming and operating autonomic structure tissues such as alar cartilage, nasal septum, etc.

Impression change to ‘gentle’ from ‘scary’.

It refers to a nose with a hump on the nasal bridge. The hump on the nasal bridge often makes the glabella region(between your eyes &above your nose) look flat and the tip relatively droopy.The droopy tip should be highly projected by Dynamic Tip Plasty and the curved nasal bridge should be delicately trimmed.The operation of a hump nose requires skilled technique and meticulous care, so it must be conducted by a surgeon with abundant experience.A careful and deliberate decision must be made beforehand since there are many cases of revision operations due to remaining hump from an erroneous primary operation.In addition, since the nasal bridge itself is already high in most of the hump nose cases, surgical methods of not using implants are widely used not to make it look unnatural due to protruding glabella region.

 

Grinding Reduction Technique for hump nose correction

A hump nose can give too much of a strong impression so people go through rhinoplasty operations to change it to a more gentle one. Hump nose is known to be caused by genetic factors and strong impact during the growth period.The hump gets formed in the middle of the nasal bridge where the nasal bone, lateral cartilage of nose, and septal cartilage meet.For the hump nose correction, osteotomy procedure, breaking the nasal bone, under general anesthesia has been commonly applied so it has been quite burdensome to the patients. 2. Severe hump noseRemoval of the hump section on the nasal bridge with its bone and cartilage.Even grinding of postoperatively irregular surface of the bone to make the nasal bridge sleek and refined as much as possible.

The bone itself is often wide and big in many cases of severe hump nose.

Meticulous care is needed in these cases since the width of nasal bridge from the front view may look too wide due to the removal of the hump when a proper operation of breaking and narrowing the wide nasal bone isn’t applied together.

Incisional Method - Double Eyelid Surgery

Incisional Method

It’s a procedure commonly applied for the cases of thick or sagging eyelid skin, excessive fat of eyelid, or loosened embedding.

It’s a surgical method of making an incision along the line drawn above the eyelid according to the desired height and shape, followed by removal of excess skin, muscle, fat, and connective tissues to make double eyelid fold for the eyes with thick or sagging eyelid skin, excessive fat or loosened embedding.

Candidates for Incisional Method

Suitable candidates for this procedure are decided considering the size of eyes, condition of eyelid tissues, whether blepharoptosis(cause of sleepy eyes) is accompanied or not, desire and expectation of the patient and etc.Generally, the patients who present difficulty in demo-practice of forming double eyelid line with a simple tool, excessive amount of sagging eyelid skin, history of primary double eyelid incision and considering revision operation, thick components of eyelid(muscle, skin, etc) in preoperative consulting are mainly the candidates for the incisional method.

Procedures

After giving an incision along the pre-arranged eyelid line, an additional removal is given on the parts of excessive muscle and orbital fat as necessary. The sagged skin from the skin incision also gets removed as designed. Statistically, the rate of revision rhinoplasty is about 10% and it is mainly about subjective dissatisfaction.
